Oracle Cloud Operations group's mission is to operate a Oracle is currently looking for an Product Mgmt/Strategy Manager-4 for the Production Engineering & Operations (PE&O) team focusing on Oracle Cloud architecture. 


This role will work closely with Development and Support and be primarily responsible for championing Oracle Cloud Operations & Strategy across multiple Oracle Cloud Services portfolio. Additionally, this role will also work on effective documentation and communication of Cloud Operations service capabilities to internal stakeholders, external prospects, and customers. As Oracle is a global company, this role may require occasional travel.

  • Own product management and strategy for Oracle cloud operations including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services for customers.

  • Team collaborator, own and be main point of contact for Oracle public cloud strategy initiatives.

  • Be an individual contributor if required to meet the deadlines and deliverables.

  • Work with multiple business stake holders, field service personnel, internal cloud teams

  • Ensure that Cloud Operations service requirements are consistently understood, accepted, and prioritized across Oracle Cloud Service development teams.

  • Responsible for new services and M&A on-boarding process by leading service readiness reviews and doing map and gap analysis with hosting and delivery policies and ensuring operational standards are enforced.

  • Create and maintain the technical documentation of cloud capabilities for field and customer/prospect consumption, including technical data sheets, overview sales presentations, training plans and security and operational Oracle Cloud Practices documentation.

  • Create and maintain Oracle Cloud Policies content and practices documentation.

  • Responsible for driving alignment of operational processes, product enhancements, and new product development to meet a unified cloud strategy.

  • Project ownership of initiatives supporting and improving Oracle Cloud capabilities.

  • Sales Enablement through trainings and creation of FAQs and other collateral.

  • Provide tactical and strategic planning and direction for the Cloud Operations team.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
