Job Summary:

The Strategy Analyst forms part of a small team of professionals whose primary role is to be the strategic planning and execution partner to the Ericsson regional organization in South East Asia and Oceania.

The Strategy function is responsible for the following areas:

  • Strategic analysis
  • Strategy development
  • Strategy execution
  • Strategic investments and acquisitions
  • Strategic business development

 

As a member of the team, the Strategy Analyst will support more senior team members on specific projects covering all of the above. 

This might include:

  • Continuously monitoring and analysing industry key data trends and their potential impact on our business:
  1. Market and consumer, such as revenue, subscription, consumer spending, etc.
  2. Our customers and competitors, such as operational and financial performance, as well as their strategies and investment priorities
  3. Wider external environment, such as macro-economy, demography, regulation, etc.
  • Gathering and analysing data to estimate our addressable market size, growth rates and market share.
  • Collecting and analysing large amounts of financial data relating to long-term planning.
  • Working with colleagues from other functions to collect, analyse and present information on performance and key trends in targeted areas.
  • Reporting on the progress on strategy execution programs and activities.
  • Supporting the preparation of proposed business cases or analyses for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Supporting the preparation of presentation materials and analyses for strategic customer engagements and projects.

Experience and Education:

  • 1 – 3 years of rapid career progression within the telecom, media, IT, internet, or consulting industry.
  • Strategic, industry, business and financial analysis
  • Virtual and cross-functional teams
  • Communicating with senior leaders.
  • Outstanding academic performance in top institutions leading to a Bachelors (or Master’s) Degree in any business discipline
