Job Summary

OpenX is a fintech startup, in stealth mode, incubated within Broadridge Financial Solutions, a global fintech company with a market cap of over $10B and a leader in fixed income technology. OpenX's mission is to bring greater trading efficiency and instantaneous market intelligence to complex financial marketplaces. This activity will introduce an innovative machine learning framework, drawing on our unparalleled pool of transaction history, that will power the way illiquid fixed income securities are transacted in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Define and build a CI/CD framework leveraging open source and commercial products to allow for agility in the development of trading systems
  • Build innovative feedback loop between code and deployment allowing the development team to be high functioning
  • Shaping DevOps culture across the team to ensure all team members see operations as their responsibility
  • Focus on business outcomes
  • Respond quickly to user feedback and continually refactor as the team evolves
  • Communicate and collaborate with development team
  • Help the team learn and grow through mentoring and leadership

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working in System Engineering/DevOps or similar
  • Experience in performing DevOps (build pipeline, deployment pipeline) with AWS Cloud using AWS Services like S3, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2 / ECS.
  • Hands-on experience building deployment pipelines and automated testing environments
  • Experienced knowledge of CM Tools preferably Chef (or desire to cross train from Ansible or Puppet), Jenkins, Sonar and Nexus
  • Expert in Git
  • Ability to code and script
  • Strong Shell Scripting skills, Ruby is a plus
  • Experienced with Linux
  • Java Ops (Maven, JMX etc.)
  • Virtualization / VMWare experience
  • AWS IaaS experience
  • Trading systems experience is a plus
  • Important contributions to open source projects or interesting code on GitHub is a plus
  • You possess a deep sense of pride and will do whatever it takes for your team to succeed
  • You think hard about a problem before you start writing code.
  • You like to write beautiful code and you think coding is something creative
  • You are proactive and a have a problem-solving attitude: you never say "I can't do that"
