The Role

Overview of the role:

This position will play an important broker liaison role, primarily within the New Zealand business but will also work within the wider ANZ operational team.  The role will work to ensure broker needs are understood, managed and resolved in addition to assisting in the successful implementation of process improvement and change program initiatives which will be aligned to both broker and the wider business needs.

The role will also be responsible for ensuring effective service support between the business and the offshore business support team in Mumbai to achieve optimum service delivery and client relationship management.  The role will also be responsible for supporting technology solutions in use by the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Help build a culture of Operational Excellence and superior client service across Operations through understanding and supporting the operational processes to meet the business and client expectations
  • Onshore contact point for the NZ Mumbai hub, including assisting in daily, weekly and monthly operational management reviews to help deliver on service delivery commitments
  • Become the subject matter expert on operational processes and work organisation to provide support to both the NZ business and the Mumbai hub
  • Actively work to support, manage and resolve operational issues (both broker/client based for the wider business) to maintain service standards and deliver value
  • Provide support to the business in relation to non-client facing operations including invoicing and post & pre renewal tasks and work to resolve issues that arise in relation to systems and workflows
  • Handle any exceptions or complex instances of centralised processes 
  • Monitor key processes and ensure that procedures are adhered to by the business and offshore business support team
  • Manage any inbound and outbound logistics
  • Responsible for maintaining the company intranet and updating as and when required
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • Proven ability to deliver client focussed solutions
  • Willing to expand skill set in different disciplines as required
  • A can-do, solutions focussed individual with attention to detail with the ability to get things done in priority.
  • Knowledge and experience of insurance broking systems and processes an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy and competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
