The VP, Underwriting and Portfolio Management performs the critical role of managing the credit function and compliance at Redaptive. You will be a lead member of our Finance team and will be responsible for building the credit management and financial operations at Redaptive Inc. We are looking for someone who has a high level of attention to detail and is especially organized. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders is key, in addition to assisting with managing activities across multiple departments and functions to help drive our energy efficiency projects to completion.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Risk management, underwriting, and setting collateral valuation curves. 
  • Deal structuring, due diligence, and documentation. 
  • Setting an updating credit policy including deal memos and management of the IC process. 
  • Review of financial modeling and valuations, cash flow and collateral analysis. 
  • Proactive portfolio management. 
  • Leading cross-functional special projects. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Abilities, Skills, and Education

  • 12+ years of experience in credit portfolio management or underwriting project finance, energy, and infrastructure entities in rating agency, buy-side asset manager, credit research, banking, leveraged finance, or other similar environments. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field. 
  • Experience in managing offshore team as well as domestic. 
  • Strong analytical skills and detailed understanding of credit structure and contracting. 
  • High-energy personality with a desire to proactively create opportunities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate with all levels of staff. 
  • Currently have permanent authorization to work in the United States. 
  • Interest in nurturing the overall entrepreneurial culture of the firm through a “can-do, will-do” attitude; regardless of whether the position description specifically identifies the ask.
