Overview

To be responsible for helping the business to drive outstanding results and embedding financial competency in the business. The role provides support to all channels and brands in Vietnam Foods leading in maximizing their strategic investment for growth through performance management, decision support, developing business models, strategy formulation, and putting strategy into action.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full financial partnership to Marketing, Commercial functions to ensure commercial activities and performance are properly analyzed, measured, and translated into financial values to achieve improving marketing activities’ efficiency and financial targets.
  • Provide effective planning, leading, and coordination of the marketing and commercial departments’ annual budgeting and periodic review exercises in line with local and corporate requirements both from category and by channel.
  • Provide the Marketing/ Customer Development Department/ GTM/ Sales functions with regular reporting of deviations. Prepare and analyze financial forecasts on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis to evaluate the category’s performance to identify trends and underlying business issues
  • Fulfill the role of a business partner by assisting the Managing Director, Marketing Director, Commercial Director, and other managers in the departments in strategy development and translation of short and medium-term targets; challenge commercial management by identifying and proposing possibilities that increase sustainable profitable growth.
  • Lead planning process for Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan, and monthly forecast from gross to net, commercial investments.
  • Provide financial assessment and analysis including pricing, product innovation, marketing activities, sales promotion and merchandising, capital investment, and other commercial projects
  • Update the market environment to build market & consumer insight.
  • Drive critical cross-functional projects such as distributor financing, and new channel development… which require a partnership with external parties such as bank partners, customers, distributors, and vendors.
  • Provide induction/training to business partners and colleagues on maintenance of financial operations (provision, actual spending, etc.) including the proper accounting thereof by SOA. (Including basic training for marketing and cross-functional team for financial awareness).

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance. Other Business/Accounting/Finance Professional qualifications such as MBA/CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus 
  • At least five years of related working experience in commercial finance, category finance, customer finance, and FP&R
  • FMCG background and way of working
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Strong communication, people skills, constructive challenge, and being inquisitive
  • Financial modeling and analysis - advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
