SCOPE OF THE ROLE

As a leading Healthcare organization, Bright Health is seeking highly-qualified, entrepreneurial professionals to drive our sales growth. We are searching for a motivated and energetic Medicare Sales Representative with a proven track record of generating business. If you have extraordinary verbal and written communication skills, experience delivering polished presentations and possess a solid of understanding of how and when to ask for the close, we want you to join our team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary objective of this position is to identify prospective Medicare-eligible members, explain the features and benefits of Bright Health products and enroll new members into a product that best fits their needs.  You will be responsible for generating leads from a variety of sources including networking events, physician and pharmacy referrals, grassroots sources and member referrals. If you do not have one already, you must obtain an Accident/Health/Life License within the first 30 days of employment. Additionally, you must maintain a current, active Life and Disability agent license for the state in which you will enroll prospects.

YOU CAN ANTICIPATE YOU WILL:

  • Achieve monthly individual production goals
  • Conduct group and/or individual sales presentations and enroll eligible prospects on site as often as possible
  • Represent Bright Health at Community and Employer-sponsored events to promote Bright Health, raise awareness and generate leads
  • Follow-up on leads by calling prospective members and scheduling in-person sales appointments
  • Understand all elements of product portfolio and associated eligibility guidelines for various election periods
  • Understand Provider Network (physician, hospital and pharmacy)
  • Develop strong working relationships with key primary care physicians, pharmacies and their staff members
  • Maintain solid working knowledge of competitor products in the market and how to sell against each
  • Submit completed enrollment applications in a timely manner
  • Record, report and maintain lead disposition status using appropriate tools including SalesForce
  • Stay up to date on current CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and maintain compliance
  • Successfully complete annual product training, AHIP certification and additional training and/or certification that may be required

The right candidate for this role will have:

  • 3+ years of sales experience with 1-2 years of experience selling Medicare Advantage products or relevant sales experience with a track record of success
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, web-based applications and use of the internet
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in the state in which the representative will enroll members
  • High school diploma or equivalent 

We prefer that the candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
