The Hayes Lab, Department of Medicine-Hematology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, is looking for an exceptional postdoctoral fellow to conduct studies on the genetics of cancer. We use bioinformatics and computational approaches in clinical samples to examine cancer pathways. This fellow must think independently to design and plan experiments, problem solve, and be an expert in typical programming packages with biostatistics training.
Knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry is a plus. This fellow is expected apply for grants (K, K99, and F32 other postdoctoral grants) with the mentoring support of Dr. Hayes. Exceptional oral and written skills are required. Fellows must complete first and co-author manuscripts and present findings at local and national meetings. We are looking for an accomplished, organized, efficient, trustworthy, and dynamic personality to work with the Hayes lab at University of Tennessee Health Science Center (https://uthsc.edu/) in the Center for Cancer Research (https://www.uthsc.edu/cancer/). M.D. and/or Ph.D. must have been completed later than 2014. Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or similar with >5 years of experience is required.
