IS Security Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, You will be responsible of the successful deployment of information security services and controls in ABB’s Electrification (EL) Business Area in Europe. Monitors, governs and drive improvements in all aspects of in-formation security across EL in Europe including, but not limited to deployment of security tools and services delivered by ABB’s global security services hub, driving remediation of findings raised by any of the global services, coordinates EL EU responses against incidents and threats, acting as a point of contact and trusted advisor for the EL EU business in information security topics. Acts as a lead for global EL Information Security projects and drives improvements within the EL Security, Risk and Compliance organization. The work model for the role is #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: • Supports and guides the organization in shaping IS Security. • Provides input into the ELIS InfoSec Strategy and subsequently helps operationalize the strategic goals. • Facilitates improved awareness and actions towards reducing overall risk to acceptable levels for business in Europe, through active engagement with key stakeholders. • Point of contact for their Europe area to ensure that both Global and EL In-formation Security Services meets the needs of the business. • Point of contact for Business, IS Managers and other relevant stakeholders, to evaluate and prioritize IS Risk & Security demands • Drives engagement with business and local IS through communication of the IS Risk & Security programs, services and changes to Country Management, Local Business Units, IS Managers and Country IS. • Monitors, reviews, consults, and gives advice to ensure others comply with ABB & ELIT IS Enterprise Architecture. • Provides leadership to work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice where no hierarchical reporting structure exists, but achieving the desirable outcome is vital.

Qualifications for the role

• 10+ years in Information Security, Operation Technology Security, and IS Compliance.
• Expertise in understanding and managing of IS Risk, Security & Compliance requirements in large and/or global organizations.
• Excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies.
• Master’s degree in Information Security or Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related qualification, and/or demonstrated capability through past employment experience.
• Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.), Auditor certifications (ISO 27001 auditor, CISA etc.) or IEC 62443 are a must.
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes would be advantageous.
