Field Sales Representative (f/m/d) North UK -General Medical Products - Home Office

About the Role: We are looking for a Field Sales Representative (f/m/d) to join the General Medical Products team to sell and promote our high quality, innovative General Surgery medical device products portfolio, including GORE® BIO-A® Tissue Reinforcement, GORE® SYNECOR Intraperitoneal Biomaterial and GORE® SEAMGUARD® Bioabsorbable Staple Line Reinforcement products. 

This is a remote position and you can work from a home office in the South East/London metropolitan area. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Full ownership for maximising sales and ensuring market penetration with the existing business as well as actively pursuing new customers and developing new opportunities 
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and physician customers 
  • Coordinate and implement local sales promotion activities 
  • Gain recognition as a go-to person at Gore and as a product expert 
  • Attend international and regional trade fairs and congresses 
  • Partner closely with the UK Sales Leader, the Regional Product Specialists and Regional Strategic Marketers to achieve the annual revenue forecast
  • Ability to support new product introduction and local marketing initiatives 
  • Ability to provide clinical product education and training, as well as regular involvement in the Operating Room 
  • Ability to apply a solid knowledge of business fundamentals and hospital organisations to assist you in your dealings with public and private hospital administrations and their purchasing departments 
  • Ability to contribute to the success of the EMEA GMP business through your subject matter expertise, as well as your deep market and customer understanding, specifically the Complex Hernia and Bariatric market 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a medical device Field Sales representative, preferably with a medical engineering or clinical background in the interventional Hernia and Bariatric environment  

Ideally degree educated in a science, technical or clinical discipline  

Passionate about clinical sales  

Possess extensive commercial skills enabling you to present and negotiate effectively to a wide variety of people  

Proactive, self-motivated and well organised  

Able to analyse and understand the market to successfully plan objectives, strategies and actions according to the business unit guidelines  

Flexible work ethic, reacting to customer requirements  

A team-player, naturally interacting with other associates across Europe on a regular basis  

The role requires a willingness to undertake extensive travel within the UK, also internationally, to sales meetings, congresses and for training. Easy access to an international airport within the territory is therefore essential
