Job Description
Reporting to the National Events Manager, the National Events Planner will bring executional excellence consistent with our Siegfried brand, culture and higher purpose to the planning and orchestration of a defined set of the Firm’s national events. The National Events Planner will select venues that are inspirational with logistics and technology while delivering Five-star client service. The National Events Planner strives within a transformational environment which fosters learning, innovation, collaboration, motivation, and fun.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- The National Events Manager assigns a set of events to the National Events Planner who in turn takes responsibility for all aspects of pre-event planning with stakeholders, leading contract negotiation for the respective venue, manages the relationships with the hotel sales and hospitality team, and the AV team. The National Events Planner prepares the respective budget for the assigned event, obtaining invoices, tracking and monitoring the expenses to actuals
- For every event, the National Event Planner collaborates with third party vendors to arrange air and ground transportation, compelling evening events, Live Well Be Well (LWBW) and organized activities
- Responsible for all aspects of event management, including plan implementation, registration, client/employee hospitality and oversight, and any brand items
- Provide onsite support, oversight, liaison with stakeholders and venue personnel and timely solve any issues
- Responsible for all aspects of post-event management, including outcomes via surveys and Siegfried Growth Innovators
- Ensuring that Five-star client service is followed throughout the planning through execution, collaboration and pro-active communication with innovative proposed concepts
- Use event planning tools to register participants, monitor registration and provide ongoing updates to stakeholders
- Utilize Events Planning tools within the National Events Playbook e.g. Events Planning Check List and Trackers
- Use Cvent App (Attendee Hub) or equivalent to manage onsite event logistics and communications with attendees to the maximum extent possible to enhance the attendee experience
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional offering a minimum of 2 years planning experience
- Adaptability to various projects through experience managing and supporting events at minimum of 100+ people and budgets of $500,000
- Adept in use of Microsoft 365 software suite, project management and event planning tools
- Ability to work 9-10 hours per day (or an average of 45 to 50 hours per week)
- Available to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Committed to providing a high quality of work and presentation
- Works well in dynamic, time-sensitive environments, with a team or independently
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Adept at building relationships with individuals both inside and outside of the Firm

- Ability and willingness to work in a Siegfried office as required for an average of four days per week in accordance with Siegfried's then-current policy. (This requirement is subject to change at the discretion of management)
- Minimum of 10% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in area of administration, hospitality services, or business management
- Meaningful event planning experience in service industry, event planning/scheduling/orchestration/working with third parties and other operational areas
Location
You must be commutable to one of the following office locations: Wilmington, DE; or Philadelphia, PA.
