Your position

As Project Manager you have a leading role in the Service Operations department. It’s your responsibility to manage and execute Global Field Quality Campaigns. These campaigns focus on design warranty cases which are urgent to resolve, often at multiple customers, across different business units on a global level. With your can-do mentality, quick responsiveness and project management skills you’re able to organize these campaigns quickly, efficient and effective, leading to higher customer satisfaction and higher system quality. You will work on several projects simultaneously and you will be part of the Service Projects team of Customer Center Warehousing Solutions. In this role, you will represent the interests of your field quality campaigns in a highly demanding multi-disciplinary project environment and with different cultures. In this position you will visit our sites, customers, and suppliers, you will be travelling on up to 20% of your time.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage Global Field Quality Campaigns from start to end
  • These global Field Quality Campaigns are across domains and business units (WS, APS and AMZ)
  • Reports to Senior Leadership on a weekly base
  • Reports to Financial Controller on a monthly base
  • Work closely with Global Problem Solving Unit and the other Customer Centre Design Warranty Coordinators across the company
  • Intensively coordinating and communicating with Service (Account) Managers
  • Solve any issues that you encounter, either during engineering or installation/commissioning phase of the project.

Your department

Within Vanderlande, the Customer Centre “Warehousing Solutions International” (CC WS INT) is active throughout the world. You are part of the Service Operations organization, an internationally operating service organization for our customers. Being a part of the service organization, we are dedicated to developing ourselves as a business partner for our customers.

Due to the dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment, you will work and align with internal project-team members (project managers, sales engineers, project engineers, IT, Supply Chain) and external parties (customers, subcontractors, engineering companies).

Who are we looking for?

You are a self-starter with a hands-on mentality and have a strong customer focus. You take responsibility for your team and you come with a problem-solving attitude. You focus on both qualitative and quantitative performance of operations. Furthermore we are looking for someone:

  • Bachelor or Master preferably in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science or Controls Technology;
  • Ability to set up and develop a project team to the next level to deliver projects with a satisfied customer;
  • Experienced in working in matrix organizations with combined hierarchical and functional reporting lines;
  • Background in or affinity with automated handling systems, the capital goods industry, and/or system integration business. Understanding the business criticality of the systems is an advantage;
  • At least 10 years’ experience with international, multi discipline project management;
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (Mostly for a couple of days to a week max in- and outside of Europe)

A salary varying between € 6.000 to € 7.000 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
