What we're looking for: An individual interested in progressing their career in the area of Learning Consulting focused on outbound engagement with customers and partners. We need someone who can educate Customers and Partners about the value of training, and stimulate training sales activity. This individual will make Ciena Learning a business enabler for Ciena, improving the capability and capacity of our customers and partners to achieve their full potential. We need a Learning consultant who can understand business challenges, and create Account Plans to achieve desired outcomes. This individual will use analytics to drive value across the entire learning journey. Business development capabilities critical to this role include Account Planning, Inside Selling, Stakeholder Management and Customer Care. Responsibilities: Stimulate new approaches to expand the Customer and Partner training engagement. Develop the learning go-to-market plan, execute the plan in region, and keep the global learning team attached and aligned to the plan. Meet with customers to understand their needs, help define implementation programs, and align Ciena teams to their goals. Educate Ciena Services and Account teams about Ciena Learning offers and how to position in business development activities. Work with Ciena’s Services Teams, Customer Learning Organizations, and direct Customers to drive subscription adoption and materialize into repeat business with existing customers. You will be responsible for achieving quarterly targets for subscription revenue and net retention rates
General Activities: As a member of the Learning Consulting organization you will be a key contributor to drive the recurring revenue business, increase customer satisfaction and improve internal processes and systems. Continuously seek feedback to create a Customer Experience. and constantly grow and interconnect business with internal customers.
Collaboration with stakeholders: Works collaboratively with business leadership, regional leadership, Services and Account Teams to create awareness of Ciena Learning offers. Serve as a regional point-of-contact who Customer and Partner stakeholders can speak to for learning advisement.
Areas of impact: Create new and better ways for Regional Account Teams and Partner Primes to access Learning Services strategies, aimed at quantitative ($) and qualitative (#) outcomes. Drive measureable value throughout the learning journey.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and experience working in technology industry. Experience using data analytics to generate consulting insights. Experience in subscription renewal business is an advantage, in both high-volume and complex subscription solutions. Excellent communicator. High-level of energy, creativity and enthusiasm are essential. Comfortable to work in matrix organizations and lead the conversation to drive outcomes. Empathetic to others and responsive. Can work independently and in a remote office. Financial acumen to develop and execute to a budget. Business Development capabilities include Account Planning, Inside Selling, Negotiation Skills, System & Process Optimization, Customer Care, Stakeholder Management, etc. Fluency in English is essential.
