Location/Division Specific Information

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

How will you make an impact?

The Area Sales Manager provides sales expertise and account management leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets for the Environmental Protection and Monitoring business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). This Sales Manager maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

What will you do?

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction in South India
  • Deliver Annual Operating Plan for bookings and revenue from the assigned geographical area of South India
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients by regularly visiting the customers and ensuring high level of support for their continued business.
  • Maintain and continue to develop an outstanding knowledge of our products and their applications.
  • Ensure that the receivables are strictly under control in coordination with Account Receivables team, with respect to DSOs and ensuring that there are no overdue accounts.
  • Well verse with dealing in both Public & Private sector organizations.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other company personnel as required. Use Salesforce.com daily by updating and adding notes, customer information, etc.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting customer's objectives.
  • Report sales data optimally through CRM and other tools.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation) MTech; MSc
  • MBA (Not Mandatory)

Experience

  • 8-10 years of work experience preferably though not necessary in the sectors like power, steel, O&G, cement etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office - Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task
  • Proven commercial excellence working in a matrix environment.
