Ce gestionnaire appliquera ses compétences en ingénierie et en produit tout au long de la durée de vie du projet. Il appliquera son ample expertise technique, produit et en matière de leadership afin de garantir la remise à temps des projets, identifier les opportunités futures, améliorer les processus, et orienter les orientations techniques du programme.

Vos responsabilités

Nous recherchons un responsable de programme technique principal motivé pour rejoindre l'équipe de R&D de Cerence. Les principales responsabilités seront (sans toutefois s'y limiter) :

  • Piloter la définition et l'exécution du programme stratégique Cerence Generative AI, de la définition des exigences à la livraison au client.
  • Identifier et résoudre les problèmes du programme en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec toutes les équipes impliquées, y compris la gestion de produit, l'UX/design, la R&D, l'ingénierie système et les ventes.
  • Diriger la planification, la gestion et le reporting des projets réalisés par des équipes de développement interfonctionnelles réparties dans des géographies diverses.
  • Définir et améliorer les processus de gestion de programme et de projet au sein de l'organisation R&D.
  • Élaborer et suivre de près des plans de bout en bout avec la pleine adhésion des différentes équipes, y compris la gestion de produit, la R&D, la livraison de produit, en veillant à respecter les délais.
  • Rendre compte de l'état d'avancement du projet et des risques à l'aide d'un tableau de bord de projet et d'un solide plan de communication.
  • Influencer la direction du programme en utilisant vos connaissances techniques et votre expertise en la matière par le biais d'une analyse basée sur les données.
  • Responsable de la gestion des modifications de contenu et des dépendances externes.
  • Proposer des améliorations et de nouveaux domaines à aborder pour faciliter la coordination et la coopération et réduire les erreurs. Orienter l'équipe vers l'utilisation des meilleures pratiques et d'une automatisation maximale.

Votre profil

  • Titulaire d’un diplôme de baccalauréat en génie, informatique, mathématiques ou domaine connexe.
  • Expérience approfondie en génie logiciel, et/ou génie matériel, et/ou génie système.
  • Expérience avérée en gestion technique de programmes et de projets.
  • Expérience dans la livraison de projets technologiques de leur commencement à l'acceptation par le client.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite.
  • Autonome, déterminé et motivé.
  • Compétences remarquables en matière d'influence et de négociation.
  • Une personne axée sur les résultats et douée pour la résolution de problèmes.
  • Expérience dans la coordination de projets dynamiques avec des équipes géographiquement dispersées.
  • Une personne motivée, attentive aux détails, possédant d'excellentes compétences organisationnelles, capable de concilier les tâches immédiates avec les exigences à plus long terme.
  • Expérience avec les méthodes de développement logiciel Agile.
  • Une personne dotée d'excellentes compétences en présentation et capable d'ajuster les messages en fonction de l'audience.

Compétences préférées

  • Formation/cours en gestion de projet (atout).
  • Certification PMP ou autre formation en gestion de projet.
  • Connaissance technique en intelligence artificielle.
  • Connaissance des outils agiles d'Atlassian (Jira, Confluence).
  • Expérience dans l'amélioration et le déploiement des processus de gestion de projet.

Located in our Montreal offices, the Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) leads complex multi-disciplinary Generative AI R&D projects using your engineering and product expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, resolving problems, and clearly communicating project status and risks to program and projects stakeholders. You use your extensive technical, product, and leadership expertise to deliver the projects on time, identify future opportunities, improve processes, and drive the technical directions of the program.

The main responsibilities of this professional will be

We are looking for a strong and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Cerence R&D team. The main responsibilities will be (however will not be limited to):

  • Drive the definition and execution of Cerence Generative AI strategic program, from requirements definition to customer delivery
  • Identify and resolve program problems by working closely with all teams involved, including product management, UX/design, R&D, system engineering and sales.
  • Lead the planning, managing, and reporting on projects being done by cross-functional development teams spread across diverse geographies.
  • Define and improve program and project management processes across the R&D organization
  • Develop and track closely end-to-end plans with full buy-in from the various teams, including product management, R&D, product delivery, ensuring on time delivery.
  • Report on the project status and risk using project dashboard and a strong communication plan
  • Influence the program direction using your technical knowledge and subject matter expertise via data-driven analysis.
  • Responsible for Content Change Management and external dependencies management.
  • Suggest improvements and new areas to address to facilitate coordination and cooperation and to reduce error. Move the team towards the use of best practices and maximum automation.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, and/or hardware engineering, and/or system engineering.
  • Proven experience in Technical Program and Project management.
  • Experience delivering technology projects from start to customer acceptance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, hard-driving and motivated.
  • Excellent at influencing and negotiating.
  • Results-oriented and excellent at problem-solving.
  • Experience coordinating dynamic projects with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills with the ability to balance immediate and longer-term tasks and requirements.
  • Experience with agile SW development methods.
  • Strong presentation skills, and ability to cater messages depending on the audience.

Preferred Skills

  • Project management training/courses (asset).
  • PMP certification or other Project management training
  • Generative AI of Large Language Model technical knowledge 
  • Atlassian agile tools (Jira, Confluence ) knowledge.
  • Experience in improving and rollout of PjM processes.
