BASF is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated QA Coordinator for our Agricultural Products Division. You will be working at our manufacturing facility located in Ames, IA.
Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator – (1705074) – Ames, IA
Where you'll work…
As a QA Coordinator, you will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QC) activities for our Ames, IA production site. You will develop and deliver quality related training, as well as coordinate our quality management system (QMS) internal audit program. You will also report on non-conformances related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Formula for Success: You Will…
- Generate/update QMS documentation (document control, specifications, nonconformance records, MOCs, etc.)
- Key performance indicator (KPI) tracking and reporting
- Non-conformance coordination and investigation
- Provide recommendations to correct out-of-specification batches when possible
- Act as back-up support for inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established methods
- Coordinate QC activities related to aged inventory

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- BA/BS Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or Related Field
- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
- 2+ years of experience in quality/ISO 9001
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Strong attention to detail
We Also Look For…
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP, or other MRP system
- Previous leadership experience
