Quality Assurance Representative Summary:

Provide consistency by supporting, training, and evaluating all aspects of the homebuying and home building processes from the “tickled, delighted and happy” (TDH) experience, through and with emphasis on, construction quality and inter-department communication and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support all associates, by reviewing all aspects of the home building process, on each community, to help make homeownership an extraordinary TDH experience.
  • Train, mentor and evaluate associates in the QA Department.
  • Assist in ensuring the QA department is performing on required matrix points.
  • Assist department heads in writing procedures to create a high performing QA program for the division.
  • Evaluate and review the quality of workmanship, by touring each community, on a regular basis and perform trade evaluations.
  • Review warranty and exception reports on each community and help achieve the division standard in construction quality, construction administration.
  • Take photographs, for training and evaluation purposes, of excellent examples of good work and of areas for improvement in communities.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the Zero Defect Closing process.
  • Review the Forensic Reports and help associates be successful at closing of open items and managing the Red Folder Process.
  • Participate in QC’s on all communities.
  • Communicate information from reports and data with Division President and department heads.
  • Review Heightened Awareness Program and suggest improvements.
  • Achieve substantial improvement in the customer satisfaction ratings as set forth by the division.
  • Facilitate training within the division on an as needed basis.
  • Promote goodwill between departments and division associates.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) year of experience as a Project Superintendent, Construction Manager and/or Customer Care Rep required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid, unrestricted Motor Vehicle License required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office
  • Basic skills in Build Pro
  • General overall departmental procedures
  • Interact well with co-workers
  • Comply with and implement company policies and procedures
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of construction knowledge
  • Strong work ethic
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Team player

Physical Requirements:

Require the ability to work in excess of eight hours if needed, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read building plans, climb stairs, bend stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Finger dexterity will be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Telephone calls to customers will be required.

The *median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $33.80/an hr, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations. Note: *The median amount may be greater or less than the average salary.
