We are currently in search of an Engineering Manager for New Product Development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the electrification of both on and off-highway vehicles through embedded software development.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing an international team comprising electronics and mechanical engineers.
  • Formulating and executing the company's strategic initiatives as a core member of the Research and Development leadership team.
  • Overseeing the development plans and workload of the team.
  • Estimating requisite team size and project durations for development endeavors.
  • Providing support to the team through the implementation of development tools and processes, including ASPICE and ISO26262.
  • Identifying skill gaps within the team and strategizing for continuous growth.
  • Managing subcontractors. Classified as Business Required

Background & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in product development and team management.

Proficiency in product design, along with a comprehensive understanding of product architecture design and patterns, is essential. An ability to envision the broader picture, establish a clear vision, and effectively guide others toward its realization is vital. Strong collaborative skills, coupled with the capability to take on leadership roles and responsibilities, are crucial.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are a must, along with a solid understanding of mechanics or electronics development.

Moreover, candidates should demonstrate proficient experience and comprehension of electronics product manufacturing processes.

Appreciated Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with over 7 years' experience in product development.
  • Familiarity with functional safety in electronics engineering, particularly ISO 26262, and experience in Functional Safety (FuSa) projects within the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency in using requirements management tools such as Polarion.
  • Understanding of power electronic converters, motor control, and electric traction systems.
