Trading Desk Quantitative Analyst

As a data analyst on the trading desk at Trumid, you’ll be responsible for quantitative work that has an immediate impact on the user experience. You will work alongside experienced traders and product managers day in and day out in our efforts to design new ways to service the credit markets. This role will require that you develop and defend your own opinions about the topics you’re asked to investigate and place you in the room where key strategy decisions are being debated. You will also have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the trenches to the development of algorithms and machine learning models that add intelligence to our trading platform. This offers you the chance to collaborate with the top minds in fixed income to make a meaningful impact on a company leading the way towards the future of intelligent electronic credit trading.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product and sales leadership to model and quantify trading ideas and analyze user behavior
  • Perform detailed analysis of new trading platform features to inform release decisions and sales strategies
  • Address feature requests and pain points by proposing and implementing solutions that continuously make our systems more responsive and intelligent
  • Work alongside software engineers to productionize and scale your ideas to support the growth of our network
  • Serve as an evangelist for quantitative research and data analytics in the broader organization

Must-Have Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, engineering, computer science, economics, or similar)
  • 4-8 years experience in a quantitatively focused role at a financial institution or technology firm
  • Knowledge of or experience with banking, financial services, or securities trading
  • Experience working directly with business heads or executive leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python, especially data science and ML packages like: pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scipy, scikitlearn, Tensorflow
  • Knowledge of Git and version control

Nice-To-Have Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field
  • Experience training and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses, especially Google BigQuery
  • Experience with dbt or other batch ETL frameworks
  • Experience with distributed compute frameworks like Spark, Dask, etc

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role in New York City is between $175,000 and $250,000. This range does not include discretionary bonus or other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this job. Several factors are considered when determining a candidate’s compensation.
