Job Description:

Can you envision being a key player on the Communications and Information Technology Services (CITS) Program in Stuttgart, Germany?

CITS represents IT transformation and innovation on a large project with the shared objective to sustain and optimize mission critical operations. In addition, we provide full life-cycle O&M and Engineering support to EUCOM and AFRICOM.

We are seeking a Senior AV Programmer in Stuttgart, Germany.

The AV Programmer position is responsible for providing AV and AMX controls programming support focusing on the configuration, integration, maintenance, and testing of AMX controls and interfaces in a complex environment with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with Department of Defense (DoD) Command and Control (C2) systems utilizing associated information assurance (IA) processes/procedures. The contractor shall create control system code and touch panel layouts for all aspects of the control system throughout the AFRICOM and HOA campuses. This will comprise of 2 Joint Operations Centers and standalone VTC conference rooms located across the campuses.

The AV Programmer will be required to record, document, and installation, configuration, optimization, operations, and IA-compliance settings/configurations/processes/procedures upon completion of installation or incrementally as determined by the customer. This is potentially a customer-facing position and may require interaction with senior customer leadership on matters concerning design, engineering, or functional areas. The AV Programmer may be responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of cross-functional teams and be able to prioritize participation in multiple, concurrent events. The AV Programmer must possess a strong belief in the principles of task ownership, accountability, and teamwork.

Basic Requirements:

Must have experience in the following areas:

  • Provide AV and AMX controls programming engineering input to the Installation Design Plan (IDP) to support procurement, configuration management, and certification and accreditation of proposed systems
  • Provide AV and AMX controls programming engineering support focusing on the implementation, testing, and maintenance of AV services
  • Designing, installing, provisioning, configuring, optimizing, performance tuning, integrating, and administering AV and AMX controls programming solution technologies in a lab environment
  • Complying with all applicable security and Information assurance (IA) policies and directives
  • Interfacing with C2 system owners during integration and execution
  • Performing requirements analysis to capture and incorporate C2 and other component system criteria into integration scenarios
  • Supporting and documenting the implementation of approved changes to system configurations, software, and infrastructure within the approved testing schedule
  • Providing ongoing progress to leadership, system owners, and peers regarding health of the environment and status of testing
  • Researching and analyzing emerging AV and AMX controls programming technologies, techniques, and protocols and making recommendations
  • Assisting with procurement of hardware, software, and services
  • Supporting the installation of new AV technology components, if required

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ CE (Computing Environment) OR other IAT DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II CE certification or higher
  • Must be able to pass TESA requirements:

                 >  Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of TECHNICAL experience

                 >  Associate’s Degree plus 7 years of TECHNICAL experience

                 >  High School Diploma plus 11 years of TECHNICAL experience

  • Should possess demonstrated experience with ITIL methodology; specifically Incident, Request and Change management principles and tracking systems
  • Should possess demonstrated experience with Operations support within an ITIL Service Operations management framework, including use of Service Now or Remedy service management tools
  • Should possess demonstrated experience with IT service management best practices such as change, problem, incident, configuration and service level management
  • AMX Netlinx Programming using advanced programming
  • Creation of modules to be used throughout the facility
  • Must have extensive AV programming understanding including real-time feedback and advanced computations that will allow end user to see actual system state.
  • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Key Vendors and Tools:

                 >  AMX

                 >  AMX touch panels

                 >  AMX controls programming

                 >  AV programming understanding

  • Position requires the programmer to be onsite fulltime to work closely with new equipment and understand customer touch panel design changes.
  • Position could require travel

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification
  • One of the following Computing Environment certifications must be obtained within 6 months of start date:

                 >  Harman (AMX) Certified Installer

                 >  InfoComm CTS

                 >  Harman Certified Control Associate | Programming (HCCA-P)

                 >  Harman Certified Control Professional | Programming (HCCP-P)
