Responsibilities

 
JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a qualified SPD TECHNICIAN for ourSTERILE PROCESSING Department to decontaminate surgical instruments and other medical devices and equipment. Utilizes computer system to assemble, prepare and package surgical instruments and equipment for various methods of sterilization including steam, ethylene oxide and steris systems Steris VPRO-1. Maintains computerized quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Answers telephone and responds to requests for sterile instruments and supplies. Utilizes computer systems for case cart stock supply and stock return.
 
Located in Phoenix, AZ, this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. 

REQUIREMENTS:
HS Diploma/GED required. AHA-BLS, the completion of a surgical instrument technician program or 2 years surgical instrument experience strongly preferred.
