Your role and responsibilities

As a Converter Test Engineer, you’ll report to the Power Electronics Engineering Manager and join a team that values creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity. Ready to make an impact? You will be mainly accountable for: • Define, plan and carry out Type and Qualification Testing for converters and energy storage systems. • Work closely with the series testing department to ensure alignment. • Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing test infrastructure and improving testing processes. • Manage test document templates, updating them as needed to reflect changes in standards and regulations. • Train new team members in executing tests and maintaining safe lab practices.

Qualifications for the role

• Graduate Power Electronics/Electrical Engineer (HF/MEng/BEng) with a basic understanding of power electronics. Previous internships or practical test experience are advantageous.
• Commitment to Safety: Following strict safety protocols when handling electrical systems, ensuring a safe working environment during all test and engineering activities.
• Eager to Learn: Motivated to learn from experienced colleagues, absorb knowledge and best practices quickly; actively contribute to team success.
• Collaborative Problem Solver: Enjoys working in an inclusive team setting and is keen to take on challenges with the support and mentorship of senior engineers.
• Fluent in English: Communication and documentation skills in English are essential; both in writing and speaking. German language skills are a plus but not required.
• Willingness to Travel: Open to occasional travel for project-related activities and team collaboration.
