New Business Development Representative




Reporting to the New Business Development Team Player Coach for Business Information Services (BIS), the New Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for making outbound calls to qualify Experian BIS prospects and set appointments for an Experian Account Executive. This person will work closely with Experian BIS Account Executives and help them find new opportunities to drive revenue for Experian BIS products/services.

Major Job Functions

• Deliver prepared talk tracks, reading from scripts that describe BIS products/services and value propositions to persuade prospective customers to accept and attend a telephone appointment with an Experian BIS Account Executive.

• Contact businesses by telephone to qualify them as viable BIS prospects and to schedule telephone appointments with an Experian BIS Account Executive

• Record customer details including reaction to the product or service offered

• Capture key information to qualify prospects as viable leads such as budget, authority, need, and timeframe

• Maintain records of contacts and accounts in an Auto-dialer, Marketing Automation Platform, and by inputting and updating information

• Create, assign, and track Leads and Tasks in

• Use prospecting tools and the Internet to research key accounts and find decision makers

• Penetrate key accounts by finding decision makers and persuading them to meet with an Experian BIS Account Executive

• Explain BIS products or services at a high-level to prospects and answer basic questions

• Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific businesses

• Conduct market surveys to obtain valuable information about potential customers

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing a plus, business-to-business experience a major plus

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage duties through wise planning, time optimization, detail orientation and prioritization.

• Ability to follow business processes

• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills a plus

• Microsoft Office Skills a plus (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Undergraduate degree, Marketing Major a plus

• Experience working with Customer Resource Management (CRM) systems a plus, specifically

• Experience working with email automation platforms (Hubspot, Eloqua, Marketo, Silverpop etc.) a plus
