Job Description

Amazon’s IT team in Seattle is looking for a smart, energetic Technical Program Manager to lead a program to deliver IT support services to senior executives globally. This role will give you an opportunity to work with executives, local IT teams and other teams across the organization and leverage a range of technologies and systems to deliver solutions.

You will have a strong understanding of IT support best practices and technologies and a history of delivering superior IT support services to C-level employees.

Your top priority will be immediate resolution of senior executive IT support requests, which will require hands-on technical support, escalating issues and coordinating work across technical teams.

You will own senior executives’ IT experience and proactively head off IT service issues, provide the highest level of IT customer service, ensure customer satisfaction and continually improve IT service delivery.

You will develop plans to build awareness of IT products available to senior executives, gather and action IT service improvement feedback, and deliver targeted communications and training.

Successful candidates will possess a well-rounded technical background in IT systems management, be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities. They will also have experience in project management in a global, matrix organization.

Maturity, good judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. In addition to driving a high-level strategic initiative, you will also be required to roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
· Deep understanding of Microsoft Outlook
· 3+ years hands-on experience supporting PC hardware, software, Windows 10 and Macintosh operating systems
· Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and telephony
· Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, Print Servers, SharePoint, Casper, SCCM
· Robust IT troubleshooting skills and C-level technical support experience
· 3+ years’ experience managing large, cross-functional projects
· Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
· Proven ability to operate in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple competing priorities while displaying a high degree of flexibility and professionalism
· Strong self-starter who can navigate through amorphous environments and work independently when required
· Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
· Demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects from requirements definition through delivery of solution, including communication of status and results throughout the organization
· Practical knowledge and skill in the use of project management methodologies and tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Wiki, Excel and others relevant to project planning and issue management
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
· Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors to get things done, with a track record of taking ownership and driving results
· Work with multiple teams across different geographies and cultures, with flexibility for some travel and working within global time zones when required
· Strong bias for action and "get it done" attitude

Preferred Qualifications

· Project / program management certification
- Experience supporting a range of audio visual technologies
· ITIL certification
· Professional technical certifications relating to Linux, Cisco, Microsoft, or other technologies
