CBRE is the global leader in real estate services and we are working with an American multinational technology company that specialises in Internet related services and products, including online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, software, and hardware.

We are currently searching for a Major Project Director to undertake the leadership for the delivery of a large scale retrofit of the existing space in Taiwan of an R&D facility.

You will be a highly-experienced Project Director, ideally from a developer background, to be based in Taiwan for 3 years to undertake the delivery of this project.  Mandarin language capabilities are not essential, although would be advantageous, and relocation assistance is available.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and deliver one of the biggest standalone fit out projects of its kind in Asia at over 1 million square feet for one of the world’s most iconic companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the project team and act as a point of ownership for the Project. All the following items need to be delivered in consultation with the Project Director (whom will also be 100% dedicated to the project).

Be accountable for the coordination of project team and associated local stakeholders (Client, end-users, IT, FM, Design, Change Management etc.) and lead the respective communications and management, with direction and input from the Project Director.

Monitor and control the project team to establish process, systems and procedures in conjunction with the Project Director.  Ensure compliance with Account Compliance Processes and Project Management Processes/Playbook.

Liaise with supporting functions (e.g. Supply Category Management, Accounts Payable etc.), as required, to negotiate and prepare appropriate agreements for all parties’ necessary in the execution of the work, including bid packages and contract documents, then performance manage the appointed team to these.

Own the oversight and guide the design process whilst instilling an ongoing Value Engineering approach to the design evolution.

Work with the Account team to implement the Environment Health & Safety (EHS) process and formats with an audit process for EHS on site.  Work with country/regional operations process and compliance leaders/teams to implement their mandates and to monitor the continuous improvement and implementation of the same.

Ensure active Risk Management, Risk Schedule creation and continuous Value Engineering (regardless of how budget is tracking) are applied to project along with championing the Sustainability criteria for the project.

Support the Project Director by providing the cost management and associated accurate and timely reporting through all stages of the project.
